Investing in the Blue Chip Companies in the USA advice?

I need your advice/input with regards to investing in blue chip companies for two years. The amount is around USD30,000. Whats recommended right now? Or should I just wait a while before getting into the market?

If you are going to invest in stocks, you should think much longer than 2 yrs. Personally I have a mixture of stocks %26amp; bonds, %26amp; I plan to be in the market for 20+ yrs. This is the time period you should be thinking about

2 yrs, don't invest in anything except CDs

If you really want blue chips, do not attempt to choose the best stocks, or you will lose. Professional money managers lose against indexes, such as the S%26amp;P, 75% of the time over the long haul.

If you can't beat the indexes, then join them by investing in a mutual fund that mirrors the index. The stock price of a blue chip usually closely follows the S%26amp;P 500

To invest in the S%26amp;P you can try Vanguard

They are a conservative investment company (they don't take unnecessary risk with your $) %26amp; they are one of the lowest cost around

Buy now while prices are low, but you should do this by Dollar cost averaging

Don't forget, to make money on any investment you need to sale it at a higher price than what you bought it for.

first of all investing the the united states??? are you crazy!!!!

if i were you i would put my money in either russia, china or japan. the united states is falling apart, pretty soon they will be # 2 or # 3 maybe even # 4. you might as well put your money somewhere where it isn't going to disappear
Ummm, yeah - good luck. Sure, blue chips are way down and I'd like to think they've hit bottom, but I thought that same thing last November and they've continued to sink. If any of us could time the market then we'd all be rich.
For two years, I wouldn't invest in the market. Instead, stick it in a bank CD or savings account.
