Please help. I have been called back for a second interview as a Compliance Associate in a Mortgage Company, and I need to know 1. What to expect? The first interview was very brief, just a tour through the facility and talk w HR that lasted about 10 minutes, if that. 2. How soon after a second interview should I expect to hear something? 3. Is it appropriate to mention that I have another job offer and need to give that company an answer? The Compliance position is the job I want, and the company seems like it would be a really good place to work. Thanks!Second Interview w Mortgage Company-All Advice Welcome?
The second interview is your real interview. The first is used to ';weed out'; other applicants, so your one up! This one will probably be full of questions, what brought you to our company? What can you do for our company? What do you expect to gain from our company? And on and on, also expect some personal questions, they will want to know that you have a life outside of the company, but that it will not interfere with your job. I would not tell them that you have another offer, it may sound more like you are twisting their arm into giving you the job, but if you are currently employed do let them know, believe it or not, that can make you a more attractive choice. Dress to code, be well groomed, take a deep breath and try not to be nervous. Best of luck!Second Interview w Mortgage Company-All Advice Welcome?
Since you passed the HR interview, the next one will probably be with the hiring manager. If you are not given a time that you will be notified, ask. Also, ask to be notified even if you don't get the position. I would not mention that you have another offer. It will make you look like your are shopping around and not serious about the position.
