Need some advice. Ok, I have a interview with a local Insurance company.?

Ok, I have a interview with a local Insurance company. I don't have any sales experience, but I feel like I could expand in this postion. What are some good question I can ask? Or How can I make myself stand out in front of others, sense I have no experience.?Need some advice. Ok, I have a interview with a local Insurance company.?
    Good questions to ask:

    1. Commission rates?

    2. Renewal rates?

some companies offer renewals when the policy renews at year 2... you really want this.

    3. Incentive Programs?

a company that offers rewards/ contests for those who work hard is awesome it also helps get you motivated for really awesome prizes.

    4. Is there a base pay?

some folks like insurance co. with base pays and commission rates that way they know they are going to have some kind of income.

    5. Training and support...

If thisis your first time doing this you are ABSOLUTELY NOT going to succeed if you don't have a great internal support system that will help pull you through the tough times and teach you the skills it takes to market your product.

    6. Advancement opportunities?

In most companies if you are great enough you can become a person who supervises newbies and trains them while simultaneously earning a % of the premium they write. This is really awesome to have becasue once you get established you can take a trip for an extended period of time the agents under you are still writing business and you are makeing $$$ from it while doing nothing.

    7. Retirement rates... will they allow you to keep renewals that accrue once you have left the company. Example: You get 20% renewal commission if you leave after 2 years, 50% commission if you leave after 5 years, and 100% commission on renewals if you retire after 10 years. This is an important feature, if you do really really well you can build a monthly renewal paycheck that can give you awesome paychecks well after you have left the business (even if you are still young and just decided you want to work some where else, as long as you have your insurance license current you can collect your renewals per company policy)

    As for the interview,

you really don't need to stand out, they usually take anyone that seems excited to try it. You just need to know all about the company you decide to join.Need some advice. Ok, I have a interview with a local Insurance company.?
If your heart is beating when you arrive for the interview, as long as you look nice, you will get the job. These companies hire most everyone regardless, as some of them follow the pyramid approach, which you may discover eventually.

You don't need to answer questions, as they will tell you everything as if you already have the job, because............ you do have the job.

If you tell them you are an extravert, have lots of family, friends, and neighbors, and belong to 5 different voluntary organizatiuons, man, will you be a hero.

You'll see what I am talking about when you get there, and the 1st thing they discuss will be how you will be making millions in a year or 2.

And by the way, it helps to be a liar, one who is able to contradict, and a deceptive individual.
They'll take you on, on a straight commission basis. The basic requirement is that you are bright enough to pass the licensing test, and can breathe. Honest.

You basically want to make sure you have good support staff, with experienced CSR's so once you sell the policy, you don't have to worry about maintaining it. You ALSO want to see what they do for lead generation.

    Company merge advice?

When a company is purchased, what are the chances of management employees keeping their jobs? Especially one of 11 yrs?Company merge advice?
Hard to tell, but it's a pretty sure bet that SOME people will lose their jobs.Company merge advice?
I have been through 2 mergers, first one we kept our jobs, the second one we got laid off. I was fortunate to be moved to another part of the company in a different role. The problem was, anytime anybody left our office, they were replaced in the company's home office, in another city / state. Eventually when there we 10 of us left, those folks who were in it for the long haul, they decided to lay us all off. So it depends on the company and thier intentions for you. For us it was clear they did not want a second office and wanted everything to run from thier home office, as much as they told us they valued what we brought. So for 6 months we were essentailly training our replacements, without knowing it. I was laid off twice by the same company...
Not good. Most of the time they will have other people to fill management positions or they could consolidate management positions if they are merging 2 companies(keeps their costs down).

What's really sad is that most situations they will play all nice with you until it's a good time for them to dump you. If you really like what you're doing, make up a list of your accomplishments in the company and treat your situation as a job interview process. I promise you that they will at least be doing some serious evaluation of managers in the new company.

Get ready, be prepared and get your job prospects set up. If the hammer comes down then at the very least you'll be ready to move to your next position.

    Good Luck!

Need advice about ,bout company not paying holiday pay?

iv allready sent this question in ,think i put it in wrong catergory,is it ilegal for a company not to pay holiday pay .when you book a week of and are off ill the day before your holiday starts, you miss out on your holiday pay what happens or who gets your holiday payNeed advice about ,bout company not paying holiday pay?
holidays are not a requirment that companyies have to pay.

It is normal for Companies that have holidays that you must work the scheduled work day before and after the holiday to be eligible.

The hodiday pay just stays with the CompanyNeed advice about ,bout company not paying holiday pay?
You do not lose the holiday. The week you booked for holiday is considered sick leave as u never returned to work to stop your sick leave. So you will now have run up 6 days sick leave and no holidays for this week in question. That means u still have the weeks holiday to take later. I assume you do not get paid when u were off sick but if u are in the UK u are entitled to Stautory sick pay (about 拢60 per week). Speak to your HR dept to confirm this. Good luck
You earn your holidays as you work can't quite remember but around one and half days per month that you work it is illegal not to pay you these. take them to court. T
go to your labor office and file a complaint..
your holiday pay will be paid the next timeyou book a holiday off work. sick pay will always over ride holiday pay, so the week you had off was sick and not holiday.
Pop into your local citizens advice centre,Free advice available, leaflets etc
huh? yah you are right. you put it wrongly before..and now too!

if you are an employee paid a monthly salary, holiday pays are included in your monthly salary..but if you are paid daily, well..no work no pay should apply!

Finding manufacturers and wholesalers is difficult unless you know where to look. I started out googling for wholesalers, but many were just a scam. Then I came across a great wholesaler database. I soon found out that they had contact info for millions of wholesalers for virtually any product. It also is the only one ever endorsed by eBay. Buying this database was the best business decision I have ever made. I'm sure you would feel the same way. There is no doubt in my mind that it could provide you the necessary wholesalers to launch your company. I'm going to stop sounding like a salesman and let you check it out for yourself. Have you thought about pay per click programs? The two biggest, I think, are Yahoo! and Google

A few free resources 鈥?check out the sources box for links:

    1) Create a blog pertaining to your field

    2) Use Yahoo! Local %26amp; Yahoo! Groups 鈥?Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

    3) Write articles pertaining to your field and/or expertise.

    4) Advertise on Craiglist

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates %26amp; the program are paid a commission.

I listed a few handy sites %26amp; articles relating to marketing, promotion %26amp; advertising. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

You could capture email addresses from your web site or buy in email lists (search the web, there is a myriad of people that sell these - some cheap some expensive).
Its often no good aiming questions like that at Joe Public. Speak to your existing customers and asking them what else could you provide to make the service you provide better? • Is toshiba a reliable company? I have seen a toshiba laptop in currys, just wanted some advice on the company.

Thanks in advance. Is toshiba a reliable company? I have seen a toshiba laptop in currys, just wanted some advice on the company.
I had a toshiba laptop for 3 years....worked great and the one time it did break...Tech support was helpful, fast and covered next day shipping both ways...Plus they did more work than they had to....

Would recommend them to anyoneIs toshiba a reliable company? I have seen a toshiba laptop in currys, just wanted some advice on the company.
mines tosihiba neva had a prob and had mine 4 ages fought id have had to update by now but its still runnin great
Toshiba have been making laptops for a long long time.. they are well proven, well tried and tested. I doubt you will haev a significant problem

Id be surprised if Currys or PC World were the best price of anything especially a laptop... and there customer service is usually pretty awfull in my experience.. to many spotty kids not enough knowledgable people

make sure you put aside some of your budget for Anti Virus (yes you can download AVG and other free packagaes which reportedly work well)

Id get a laptop with as fast a processor as possible, as alrage memory as possible (I wouldnt want to run any XP machine with less than 1GB, and make sure the graphics subsystem uses its own dedicated memory.. preferably using either NVidia or ATI.
..... i use compaq's, that have been excellent.... However i've noticed that Toshiba and Acer alway's pack bigger hardware in their laptop's with some Acer's even including graphic's, yet their prices barely change.... So, even though compaq's are an excellent computer,.... i'm seriously thinking about switching to a Toshy or Acy next, because whilst there's not much difference price-wise, there's a very big difference in hardware spec's.... Plus Toshiba is an established name in computer's....
yes they are a very big relaible company
Toshiba is one of the best makes for a laptop,go for it!!!
Anything Japanese is very reliable. We had a Toshiba televison for over 10 years and I have a Toyota Avensis and although it is a great white eyesore to me it cannot be denied that it runs great.

The Japs know their technology. (I just wish they wouldn't Americanise everything, you would think that after the Yanks dropped a bomb on them they would shun them but no such luck).

Also you'll have your warranty as well, not that you will need it. Don't get HP, my cousin got it from PC World and it needs repairing every month.
Sure. If I was buying right now it would probably be a toshiba.
I have had toshiba laptops before and found them to be brilliant machines, they are superb
Yep. We have had a toshiba laptop for nearly 5 years with not one problem.
yeah i use this as my field laptop and i must say i puts up with sand sawdust water oil and petrol and dosen't break (not even slightly modified) dell PDA's=brillant however

    dell laptop=crap+susceptable to viruses

    ANDY THE HANDYMAN 07840865599
Bought a secondhand Toshiba laptop 5 years ago when my daughter went to university. Still going strong. Someone in the trade told me their TV's are reliable too.
Someone reliable once told me that he swears by Toshiba because it is still 100% a Japanese company whereas others such as Sony, Sanyo and Hitachi make most of their products in Korea and Taiwan now.
Yes Toshiba are a good company and make quality electric goods !.
Toshiba is a very good company. They produce good quality hardware. However, be advised that they did have an issue with a number of there systems. This was a software issue to do with a driver incompatibiliy. Devices such as modem, sound card and/or graphics would spontaniously vanish from the hardware list. This would force you to uninstall and then reinstall the drivers to get them working again. This issue has been resolved, but it did take Toshiba a very long time to rectify it. This was surprising as I had several machines come into my workshop withthis fault.

View the fact that I would still recommend these machines inspite of this as a mark of there quality. I would definitely buy one of there computers, but probably not from curry's. Take a look at http://www.dabs.com , you might just find the same computer for a better price.

    Regards A.
I have had a Toshiba laptop since I started college five years ago. I have not had to have any major repairs on it. I love it! When I first started looking at computers my dad asked the computer guy at his work and the guy told us that the Toshiba would give us more for our money in the long run. Hope that helps some!

I want to start investing my money into a couple of companies. I need advice?

I still in college but I want to start being smart with my money. I dont have a lot to spend. How many shares should I invest in a company. One or Two? Is video game companies a smart invesment? What other hot stocks are out there? Is it smart for me to invest while the nations ecomony is in the crapper?I want to start investing my money into a couple of companies. I need advice?
You should have given us some idea of the amount you had in mind to invest and for how long you were planning to invest it.

Nintendo has a big hit with the Wii or however you spell it. The company is traded on the pink sheets at about $63.00 a share. Ticker is NTDOY.

There are various philosophies on whether it is smart to invest during recessions. If you can time it right, it is a great time to invest. Buy when everybody else is selling means you can get some juicy bargains. NTDOY is about 15 points under its high. But also about 30 points above its low. One plus is that it is not a U S company.

Now, you need to realize that investing in individual stocks especially only one or two has a great deal of risk associated with it as those who invested in C found out the hard way. The landscape is littered with supposedly great investments that were actually crap.

One of your responders has addressed this and suggested a mutual fund instead. Good advice.

There is a flip side to the coin of course. If you can pick the right one or two stocks you can do very very well. There are many cases every year where certain stocks increas 5 and 10 times in value. They are not easy to find however.I want to start investing my money into a couple of companies. I need advice?
    Since you are busy with college I would recommend you stay away from investing in ';individual stocks'; because it takes a lot of time, research , and knowledge to trade ';individual stocks.';

Instead visit vanguard.com they are perfect for a new investor and they specialize in mutual funds and index funds. They also have an outstanding reputation in the investment world.
Always invest in stocks with strong up trends... raising share price. Find the stock symbols for the companies you find interesting. Enter those symbols (one at a time) into the free charting service at www.bigcharts.com. If the trend line is up that stock might be a good buy. Here are two suggestions: SSRI, JJG.
Why do you want to invest? Do you want to invest money towards your retirement or are you looking to make some money for earlier in life?

You obviously have no idea what you're doing so I'd just start by opening up a ROTH IRA. You can contribute about $4000-$5000 a year and it goes towards your retirement. Start out with some ETF's and safer stocks like GE. Over the next couple of years read more on investing and then you can find more rewarding stocks. For now though, play it safe until you know more. Right now is actually a good time to get into the market, but if you aren't careful you could lose a lot of money.

Investing in video game makers might not be a bad idea, but I would invest in a company that maybe owns a video game company. Finding a company that only makes video games is risky. You want a company that has lots of resources and market share.

You should go set-up an account at a discount broker that can offer some advice and guidance, try Charles Schwab or Edward Jones for now and in a few years you can handle you own investments online.
I like SuperCactus' companies above. Here is my standard advice:

Choose a stock of a solid company (in or outside the USA) that you believe has a future (or a mutual fund), and that has a 3-5 year record of consistent growth of its share/stock price. Look in on its price and news articles (like through Yahoo Finance) every few days or daily to make sure nothing tragic is occurring to your particular company or stock鈥檚 value. But HOLD it (except in the event of some major free-fall). Jumping in and out (selling the shares and buying them again within 3 business days) to avoid losses is only permitted by law if you are a 鈥榤argin trader鈥? As you earn money you should also buy the stock of a company in a different industry, but using the same evaluation technique as above. Eventually you should hold at least one solid company's stock in several healthy industries.

This is a simple stock market plan that should serve you very well. You鈥檒l need to contact a brokerage to start an account. I like Fidelity and Scottrade. Both have online trading. If you don鈥檛 have an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) I would start a Roth IRA as the account in which to keep your stock because all the earnings/gains are tax-free. A HUGE benefit. And max the allowed contributions whenever you can afford to. You can鈥檛 withdraw this money until age 59 陆 without a major penalty, but still the wise thing to start first. You can also start a second regular brokerage account at the same time and place whatever amount of stocks in it, if you feel more comfortable knowing you can sell off and withdraw the money anytime. But you鈥檒l have to pay capital gains tax on those withdrawals.

    Good luck.

    Jesus is Lord.
yahoo finance has a tuturial..........I would read a book or two on investing(technical and fundamental analysis)....................

video game sounds like a good bet...............but read up on the industry first.......
If you don't have a lot of money, then shares probably aren't the way. Yes, they can produce good results, but even the best of them tend to give investors a mild headache when the economy is, as you beautifully describe it, in the crapper.

Warren Buffet, Benjamin Graham and all the other top notch investors tend to recommend you buy safe, boring shares. I read recently that Warren Buffet is investing in furniture companies, whilst the world is reeling through the credit crisis. This is a sound investment. Slow, perhaps, maybe a bit boring, but you can't deny that money will be made. It's an old, established industry, that isn't ever likely to be tipped as a ';hot stock,'; but while the hot stocks are going like hot cakes, and then dropped like hot potatoes, it's generally accepted that the slow-but-sure industries will slowly, but surely, outperform. Tobacco, amongst other ';defensive'; stocks also fall into this category.

I recommend you avoid shares if your budget isn't up to taking at least a 50% loss. Put your money in a savings account, and then when you feel you can afford to risk money, have a dabble with shares. It is recommended that you keep around 50% of your money in safe products like savings accounts, etc. That way if you do suffer a loss on the stock market, it's not the end of the world.

With that in mind, if you feel a savings account isn't producing a good enough return, I have been using Zopa.com. This is a lending and borrowing exchange where you lend money to individuals of good credit rating, cutting out the banks and letting you keep all the interest. Because you choose the rates you lend at, you can always make sure that you're getting more than you would in a savings account.

There's also a bonus - if you apply via the following link and lend out more than 拢500, Zopa will give you a complimentary 拢30! If you're in the US, the link should redirect you to the US site, and hopefully there'll be a similar offer.

    www.zopa.com/member/The%20Hulk

So, if you lend out more than 拢500, you get 拢30, which is 6% of 500! 6% upfront, and then maybe 10% (based on my results in the UK) on top of that for the rest of the year is a very attractive offer (considering that in the UK a savings account will pay about 5%-6.5%.) Unfortunately it seems that if you lend out 拢1000, you still only get 拢30, which brings it down to 3%, but it's still an attractive offer! Hopefully it would be a similar sort of percentage in the US, if that is where you are based.

    Hope this helps!
If you are just getting started as an investor, you might want to create a ';practice'; portfolio at http://www.top10traders.com - it's free - each month the site ranks the best performing investors.

I would say you should invest in the companies that you know and love. Just start with caution. It is great that you are starting to invest when you are young. Good luck.

I just started a cleaning company but it seems to be dry (no customers), Any advice?

Cleaning Mattresses, Carpets, Sofas, Window washing, car interiors, wall washing, e.t.cI just started a cleaning company but it seems to be dry (no customers), Any advice?
We just started a cleaning business . We got 500 business cards printed and posted them through our neighbours' doors and passed them on to friends and family . Within one week we had 12 hours of new regular work and we had only posted 300 by then !!

Write '; fully insured '; on the card somewhere because a few folk ask and are disappointed if you are not.

Put cards up in the windows of local newagents . Make sure it looks good though and isn't a hand scrawled , last minute , idea . Use one of your busines cards if you are allowed .

Put your address on the card so people can come round and see you if they want .

If you live close to us just forget all this stuff and move ... (but sell us your stuff real cheap first ... wink..)I just started a cleaning company but it seems to be dry (no customers), Any advice?
Leaflets (need not be fancy) in the library

    Notice in newsagents windows

Any Army/RAF bases nearby? Put a notice in the community areas. This could be a big earner.

Go round estate agents; introduce yourself and leave your details.

Leave your details at the local council offices and social services.

Practice introducing yourself and your business so you sound professional, courteous and the sort of guy people want to invite into their homes. Use family, a mirror, a camcorder; anything that will help you refine your introduction.

Make yourself a free website. Easiest way is to type WWW dot, then FREE and WEBS (all one word) then dot com (Yahoo won't let me give it in one go, as they are a competitor site, and better.) Make sure your web address goes on all your leaflets.

Make sure you do some BEFORE and AFTER photos (especially cars/gravestones etc. You may have to fake a dirty home - people are unlikely to give permission). Put these on your website, and make a folder of them to show to estate agents and other enquirers.

If you get contracts with local businesses, you may need to take on staff. If this happens, get an accountant who also does payroll - and fast!

    I wish you well.
Approach your local council and social services departments-you may get a contract for old peoples and residential homes also approach big companies for contracts-you need a business manager,,,Think big and ambitious, believe in what your doing and people will pick up on your confidence-remember YOU have to go THEM!!!

    Good luck

you have to build up a good reputation, loads of advertising and promotions to start with then word of mouth should keep you going, get out there and talk to people give out flyers, advertise in shops ect GOOD LUCK
Flyers through doors, or give some out to the mums and dads at the school gates where your kids go to school.
You need to do more advertising and perhaps print some leaflets with special offers on them to attract the customers.

Get the Yellow Pages out, start from the beginning (A), and just start calling maybe 5-10 business a day that you feel could benefit from your service - asking to speak to the owner (preferably) or manager and then telling them what you do.

You could mail business cards or flyers but actually speaking to the person in charge allows some back and forth discussion and should create a lot of jobs for you.

In addition, you may end up with a big contract that will allow you to expand. Good Luck
Ask some potential customer if you can clean for free in exchange for three solid referrals. Charge only for your consumables and ask him if you can put up a sign at place of business.

Do a great A++ job and charge the referrals a little higher to make up the difference.

Sometimes you have to prime the pump.
You have a PC so why not print off about 100 flyers and take them to businesses on industrial estates near you. Ask if you can post one on the staff notice board. If the business has offices you may even get a call to clean the office carpets, reception furniture etc or valet the staff cars.

Good Luck! I know how difficult starting up a business can be.

Need some advice!!! I am employed with a company and my yearly appraisal is long over due!?

My supervisor call me yesterday and asked me to sign a blank appaisal form to which i did not! The problem is that he just does not want to full out the form. I perform all my duties and even more, I worked in the night with no compensation. HR told me to fill out a claim form which I did. That form was given to the manager. They never signed it. I left it that way. I still go the extra mile with my job.Need some advice!!! I am employed with a company and my yearly appraisal is long over due!?
Difficult! You were right not to sign a blank form. I suspect your supervisor/manager is trying to avoid doing his bit.

Do you have a workplace councellor ? Could you chat to them about your concerns ? Or a union or even HR. Be careful about escalating this to a full complaint as that can be counter-productive (marks you out as a troublemaker). Also, a pay rise is a 'gift' not a right unless your job description states that you will have an annual pay rise.

Is your company in financial trouble? could this be a way of avoiding giving a pay rise? Or even worse, might they be looking for redundancies?Need some advice!!! I am employed with a company and my yearly appraisal is long over due!?
Are you expecting a merit increase? Is that why you are concerned? Or are you looking for constructive criticism in order to do your job better?

What you do next depends on your motives.

Be up front about your needs and help your supervisor to understand why this is important to you. Sounds like he thinks it's a waste of time.

Behind on personal and company (s-corp) taxes, advice?

    Hi All,

I had a business that I closed 1 year ago, I started a new business and it has been struggling. I've been struggling financially for about a few years. A few years ago, I put all my $ into saving my business and now I am just trying to make rent, etc. So I am really behind in taxes, I've filed extensions, etc. but now it is so overwhelming and I really don't have the money to pay a CPA to help, but I can't do it on my own. I am pregnant, so I don't want to get in deep trouble...like going to jail, etc. Feeling overwhelmed...thoughts?Behind on personal and company (s-corp) taxes, advice?
You should have thought about your financial problems before getting undressed and getting pregnant.

    consumer court
If you are sure this is not a misunderstanding, take it to your local government body that deals with consumer complaints. If you simply change hosts, they will get away with it and likely continue ripping people off..

A specialised removal tool is usually needed to remove the malware (Smitfraud or Vundo) that is causing your problem. Almost all ';general purpose';,';all-in one'; spyware and virus removal programs such as Adaware 2007, Norton, McAfee or Spybot S %26amp; D cannot remove Smitfraud or Vundo.

A good removal tool that specialises in removing these 2 types of infections is RogueRemover Free:

Need legal advice, insurance company small claims is after me. What to do?

The insurance company of a man whose fender I tapped one day while being blinded by the sun wants me to go to court and/or pay them $4,318. This amount is, as far as I'm concerned, completely arbitrary. I have not been told what the $4,318 was paying for. The man's insurance company found out that I was not at the time insured under my dad's car's insurance. The man in the accident never called me or contacted me for any expenses, until I got a summons from the lawyer of his insurance company pretending to be defending him. They actually had to pay out a personal claim and they hate it. Now they pass on the cost of their frivolous mystery invoice to me as if I would understand the necessity of their claim. They really must explain something of those costs to me sometime. My question is this, how do I legally tell them where to stick it?Need legal advice, insurance company small claims is after me. What to do?
You can legally tell them to 'stick it' in a court of law but be warned: insurance companies do not play games. If you are stupid enough to actually go to court over $4K then be prepared to be eaten alive by the insurer's lawyer and the judge. You have every right to see the paperwork associated with the cost of the claim they are requesting but don't be too shocked at what you find. A trip to the ER, with NO injuries will cost in excess of $2,500 after exams, MRI and x-rays. Why don't you try being reasonable and contact the insurer and discuss a settlement before you find yourself before a judge. If you get a judgment against against you and don't make the payments you will be in contempt and your assets will be seized, sold and you will face heavy fines.

Dude, it just ain't worth it..... don't you have your own insurance for this???Need legal advice, insurance company small claims is after me. What to do?
The amount may not be arbirtary--5k in your state may require an apperance in a higher court--with higher standards of proff required. It is often much easier to sue for 4k than 5k for this reason.

Also, did you have any insurance at all? This is tough because a lawyer could help you, but if you lose, you have to pay the lawyer and the 4k. If you are under 18, I would think that they would have to go after your father. I don't think anything can stick on your credit record until you are 18. You could buy one hour of time from a lawyer who deals with accidents for like 60 bucks. This might be the best way to see where to go before paying out hundreds or thousands. Hope this helps

Also, if it is more than 7 years, they can't do anything to you. If it is less, they will ruin your credit.
Well unless you have your own legal representation, there isn't a whole lot you can do to tell them where to stick it. If you can't hire a lawyer, contact the insurance company and demand they give you an itemized list of costs. It's probably for repair and rental. If they are insisting you have to pay the bill, then you have the right to know what you're paying for. They will accept a payment plan.

For peace in your home, I'd recommend praying the Devotion to the Seven Sorrows of Mary.

The Seven Sorrows of Mary are as follow:

    1. The Prophecy of Simeon

    2. The Flight into Egypt

    3. The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple

    4. Mary Meets Jesus as He Carries His Cross

    5. The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus

    6. The Body of Jesus is Taken Down from the Cross and Placed into Mary's Arms

    7. Jesus is Placed in the Tomb.

Mary wishes for us to pray one Hail Mary while meditating on each of the Seven Sorrows, for a total of seven Hail Marys. She has made the following promises to those who do this on a daily basis:

    1. I will grant peace to their families.

2.They will be enlightened about the Divine mysteries.

    3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.

    4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

    5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

    6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.

    7. I have obtained this Grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

    God bless!

Learn to enjoy other people's company, or don't get roommates.

    Partying is optional.
You may want to buy some headphones. At a hardware store, near the power tools, you can find ear protection (they look just like headphones) that block out 20+ db of sound. You can get them for less than $20 US. That may help when you want to be alone in your room. You cannot sleep while wearing them though.

You do not say if the room mates are joining you or if you are joining them. You may have chosen inappropriately for yourself.

If you decide to join the party, take it in small steps. Do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed. Take care.
First and only suggestion Stop making assumptions about people based on the way they look, they may be real mellow people.
Get out and join the party.
Tell them small parties are fine, but your room is off limits.

    Compromise is key.
Take it as a chance to develop other aspects of yourself.
just try ur best to get to the party and make new friends at the party

Legal advice: training company trying to screw me?

a little more than a year ago i signed up for a gym membership. while there i signed a contract with a training company that was subcontracted. about 6 months later the gym decided not to renew their contract with this company and had me sign a new contract with a new training company. i was advised that everything would transfer over. i recieved a letter from the old company that i would be able to recieve the training i paid for at another gym. i told my trainer and she advised me to ignore it. and now i've been called by a collections company about this contract saying that i owe them money. i told my trainer and she says the lawyers have it handled. then i recieve a letter from the collections company still saying i owe money. i looked on my credit report and there's nothing there from these people. my trainer told me that they are just trying to scare me. she told me that she's gonna send a copy of this letter to their lawyers to send to the credit agencies. what can i do to take care of this myself? or should i just wait and see?Legal advice: training company trying to screw me?

Finding manufacturers and wholesalers is difficult unless you know where to look. I started out googling for wholesalers, but many were just a scam. Then I came across a great wholesaler database. I soon found out that they had contact info for millions of wholesalers for virtually any product. It also is the only one ever endorsed by eBay. Buying this database was the best business decision I have ever made. I'm sure you would feel the same way. There is no doubt in my mind that it could provide you the necessary wholesalers to launch your company. I'm going to stop sounding like a salesman and let you check it out for yourself. Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates %26amp; the program are paid a commission.

Is toshiba a reliable company? I have seen a toshiba laptop in currys, just wanted some advice on the company.

    Since you are busy with college I would recommend you stay away from investing in ';individual stocks'; because it takes a lot of time, research , and knowledge to trade ';individual stocks.';

Advertise! Now is the right time to do it because people are thinking about spring cleaning - play on that fact in your advert. Do a leaflet drop in your area.
    Whats your USP ?

Are you using a good 'features / benefits' statement on your advertising ?

Have you approached your 'warm market' first?

    Hows AIDA coming along ?

Whats does your ';Elevator Speech' sound like when spoken out loud.. (you do have an elevator speech dont you !!??)

if you dont understand any of the above then take a course on 'marketing'.... most business owners set up a business they are an expert in, and forget that potential customers only care about ONE thing....themselves...

so once you get the marketing figured out... your business will start to grow.

(marketing teaches you to look at your business from a potential customers point of view, not from yours !!)

and because your not doing so well... you need some advice from an expert...

check this site out, sign up for the newsletter, listen to the audio.. if all else fails email me and i will give you some help.

    ( i am a marketing manager)

    Advertise~

    :]]

    Leaflets are generally good.

Try not to crowd the leaflet with too much info, put in only what's needed and you'll do great
Business cards with a coupon on doorsteps. That is how I got my maid and I wasn't even looking for her!
    Advertise.
Go out and annoy people with junk mail flyers and put an ad in your local rag. (pardon the pun!)
advertise, print out some leaflets and get posting.xx good luck

  • Need some advice!!!

Babies cost a lots of money these days.

How do you expect to raise a child if you are so financially strapped?

I need to buy a pre-paid cell phone. I was thinking virgin mobile? Is Tracphone a better company Any Advice?

Virgin MobileI need to buy a pre-paid cell phone. I was thinking virgin mobile? Is Tracphone a better company Any Advice?
T-Mobile prepaid can be cheap to keep the service active ($100 per year), but there are no mobile to mobile minutes.

Cingular offers mobile to mobile on certain pick your plan and prepaid accounts.

Verizon Wireless prepaid is the most expensive.

Tracfone is good for very light use.

Virgin Mobile is decent--they have a number of plan options, including limited use monthly (no contract) as well as pure minute to minute prepaid.

Amp'd mobile hybrid plans are okay-- $30 for 500 minutes a month. That's fairly good.I need to buy a pre-paid cell phone. I was thinking virgin mobile? Is Tracphone a better company Any Advice?
Don't use Tracphone. They were my first prepaid cellphone service and they were horrible. I could make calls but not receive them. Customer service is horrible. They don't know what they're doing. They never solved my problem.

I left them five years ago for another company. I currently use Cingular. Much better service and reception (no dropped calls).
    tmobile
I think Tracphone is very expensive if you plan to use it much.

I have Cingular pick your plan prepaid for my daughter. It's I pay around $40.00 a month for 600 minutes and unlimited night and weekends.
If you like getting ripped off then get a track phone but if you do not stay away from them. They rip off the poor. I went to cingular and bought a phone for a small $$. you will be better off there.you can prepay.
It depends what u want to use ur phone for..if ur gonna text alot get Virgin because it has penny txting for tracefone its 10 cents per text all the time also if ur gonna use ur phone a lot after 7pm then virgin has good rates per month for that......in gerenal tracefone is for ppl who don't use it that much or just have 3 min convos on it....Virgin is for ppl who acually use their phone just don't get caught up in buying games and ringtones cause it can rly add up

You should videotape it and you could just use the grass as a ring. Or if your trying to stay safe you can get some mattresses and wrestle on them. Whichever you choose I hope you do great.

My company is relocating me from HK to Australia...Lots of questions, would appreciate some advice/feedback?

My company has proposed a move for me from HK to AU.

My current Income tax rate in HK is 16% max, but I see in AU it could go all the way to 45% in some cases.

For the relo package, how is the cost of living adjustment handled. Is a potential 29% increase in tax rate taken into account?

If anyone has had any similiar experience with packages offered please let me know. Would like to be prepared befroe being presented with the formal offer.

And if there is anything else that would be good to know for this type of move please let me know.My company is relocating me from HK to Australia...Lots of questions, would appreciate some advice/feedback?
Yes we pay a lot of tax in Australia, but there's advantages too.

I would say your employer won't want to talk about tax, they'll tell you to buy a surf board and go to the beach on the weekends - you'll love it. Still you only get what you negotiate, you can try for a raise.

I've moved back to Australia after living in Singapore for a while and the differences are so dramatic - it's like a different world.

Something someone told me long ago (and I keep finding to be true), you only get out of something what you put into it. By this I mean a job, country, relationship anything. You need to invest time and effort into things before they reward you in return. A lot of people relocate and just get home sick - that's because they don't put in.

Advice for a GREAT web hosting company with pre-installed WordPress?

There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn't mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support.

But, let's face it - how do you know if a web host is good or not? They all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing, right? Well, I recommend reading reviews so that you may compare and become more familiar with the hosting companies before making a decision.

If you are looking for a web hosting company you need to look for a company with either cPanel or vDeck as their control panels. This is because these control panels provide the easy installation.

When you choose a web host, make sure they have excellent support. If you have a problem with your web site you want help now, not in a day or two.Advice for a GREAT web hosting company with pre-installed WordPress?
There are sevrel web hosting companies with pre install word press in the system.

you need to look for a reliable company with a lot of experience and most impotent a good customer support.

    http://hosting411.net/top_bloghosting.html

this is a web site that rates and compare hosting companies in general and thay have a dedicated section for rating blog host companies.

I saw that many of the companies rated in this site have wordpress installed so you only need to find the one that will give you the best price and have good luck with your new blog.

:)Advice for a GREAT web hosting company with pre-installed WordPress?
Most web host will have Fantastico where you can have Wordpress installed in one click. If you are having problem choosing a web hosting to use for Wordpress, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostinggeeks or web-hosting-top.com and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.

I suggest you start with Stablehost, Fatcow and Webfaction for hosting Wordpress.

    Good luck.
For preinstalled Wordpress I would recommend http://www.myownfreeweb.com where you can get free web hosting, free top level domain, free email, webmail, POP, HTML, PHP, MySQL, Databases, 300MB disk space, 10 Gigabytes bandwidth, Safe Mode off, AJAX, Free web builder, free sign up, and 29 preinstalled scripts to make your hosting even easier. Best part is that it's all FREE, and in this economy no one can beat FREE!!!!!
If you’re going to start your blog at your own domain with different pages, you need a web host providing wordpress.

    Take a look at: http://www.threehosts.com/blog

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the blog website hosting industry.

    Hope this helps.
I'm using Hostgator and they are just fantastic..

and Wordpress installation is very simple..

Just log into your cpanel and go to Fantastico deluxe

and select Wordpress..and you are just 2 clicks away for your installation to get installed automatically..

    Good luck!
I personally LOVE HostGator! And yes they have wordpress, but I would recommend going through a site like http://hostgumbo.com just to pick up the freebies and giveaways they offer... but pick hostgator when you do. You wont regret it. They are an experienced company and I've never had any downtime with my sites.

  • Becoming self-employed / director of Ltd company need advice on tax and n.i. (UK)?

    Hi there,

I am currently setting up a VSC (Virtual Service Company), where I will be payed monthly by my client.

I want establish a spreadsheet in Excel which will work out my monthly N.I %26amp; Tax contributions for me, so that I can set them aside before the annual assessment or whatever. Can anyone explain this fore me?

I am very new to this so would appreciate polite and informative answers. Thank you!Becoming self-employed / director of Ltd company need advice on tax and n.i. (UK)?
Your first port of call would be Inland Revenue for all the latest information and law regarding directors and employees tax %26amp; NI where a limited company is concerned including corporation tax. These are very strict and constantly changing.

As for an Excel spread sheet you could look on the MS site at some templates, they may help, or you may be able to modify one. Also IR may have such a thing on their web site. An Internet search may also help.

Can't tell you how to do it though as I did not work that way when I had a limited company.

Heres the link to MS online templates.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templa鈥?/a>

Hope this helps some way.Becoming self-employed / director of Ltd company need advice on tax and n.i. (UK)?
Contact your Local Business Link (assuming you are in the UK) they run loads of really useful courses and will give you a buiness metor to help point you in the right direction.
I have a send sheet for self employed or employed. I'll let you have it free of charge. Send me an e mail via info@johndonnelly.co.uk and i'll send you a copy.
you need to talk to an accountant.

    There is a little rule called IR 35, ';Service companies';

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ir35/ (google IR 35 for more)

it says even though you register as a company, if you look like an employed person, you will be taxed as an employed person. I.e. you cannot avoid tax and/or get tax breaks a company would get by hiding your effective 1:1 employment.

Your ';company'; needs to be seen to be offering general services to all, and be accepting ';tasks'; not offering continuous work to one or more

    i.e two tests

    - what is the difference between what you are offering what you are intending and the client just employing you on a part time basis to do work ?

    - can and are you able to , supply anyone else in your place to do the work if need be.. i.e. it is the service not the person being supplied.

go find a reasonably large local accountant company.... who can advise you until you work out which smaller accountant may be more suitable for your type of business.

for small levels of trading (less than 68000 a year Turnover) you dont need to register for VAT, above that you must, but can go Flat rate.. making it simpler.

As a small company owner, you can be

    - sole trader

    - Ltd company (and pay yourself a small salary below NI level, and take the rest in shares)

You need to look at what type of services you are offering.

there is some guidance in the HMRC wesite and the buisness link website... it is there but there is a lot and can becoem overwhelming !! hence someone with experience (accountant) make life easier and cost effective to give you the essense that you need.

The 1st consultancy with an accountant is free, so you can assess if you are happy with the person/the company. no obligation..

one thing you will find quickly is that the HMRC VAt/tax, companies house etc etc are all very helpful in guiding you through many of the issues.

    HMRC starting a business

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/startingup/

    business link:

    http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/act鈥?/a>

You also need to open a business bank account..

Several people do Free into packs

(Lloyds TSB does an nice intro CD with theirs and example S/w to do your books etc)

Abbey Buisness is free for life...

many are free for the first year

if you keep you transactions electronic (bank to bank transfer and cash card, then it will keep the transaction costs 0)
The first thing you need to know is that being self-employed is totally different to being a company director, and the system for pay etc is different. So you need to clarify which you are.

As a self-employed person you are taxed on the entire takings of your business. But you can deduct any business expenses, such as utilities, cost of stock, travel etc.

As a company director you are an employee and will pay tax and NI as you go via PAYE.

As a company shareholder you may receive dividends (distribution of profit) from the company. These are taxed slightly differently to employment earnings and no NI is payable.

Often directors are also shareholders so they can choose either or both of these two methods of payment. There is no simple answer to which is best - it depends on your exact circumstances. But a limited company itself is liable for corporation tax on its profits. As with a self-employed person all the business expenses are deductable, including employee salaries. But the profit is taxed before any dividend is distributed.
