The first thing I would do in your situation, Natalie, would be to let your management know that 1) you want to develop a relationship with a very experienced copywriter-designer team; and 2) that you want all projects to be based on a comprehensive, written creative brief that has been OK'd by someone over you. Point #2 is where most clients, even so-called experienced marketers, fail. Bottom line: hook up with an experienced creative type who really knows marketing. Please feel free to check out my website in that regard, but most important, good luck in your new job. You'll figure it out.

Congratulations on landing such a job with no experience. Now, all you need to do is keep it! What you are needing to do is most effectively learned from the experts, ie. people who have proven track records for success in business. I could write a list, but their is one man known as ';the consultant's consultant, Dan Kennedy.
His courses are not cheap, but they are guaranteed. You can begin with his flagship product by going here: http://www.dmwebsite.com/skagit/mag-mkt.鈥?/a> Should you wish to purchase it, I only use PayPal for my secure credit card vendor, and my business ID is admin%26lt;@%26gt;skagitprofitsystems.com (without the %26lt;%26gt;). Be sure to include shipping and sales tax if you are in the state of WA.
Thanks for asking,
Rod
