Having issues with a student loan company...need some advice.?
I am in a rehabilitation program through General Revenue Corporation. They are trying to screw me over on my title iv student loan stuff. Anyway, I am going to start requesting copys of all of my paperwork on file from them, I need to know if I should continue paying them or stop while I am investigating my account, and if I run into some issues is there a kind of lawyer I should speak to?Having issues with a student loan company...need some advice.?
Keep paying or they can take you to collections immediately since its a repayment program. The best lawyer may be a bankrupcy lawyer- they can at least point you in the right direction- otherwise there are many debt lawyers- just google it.Having issues with a student loan company...need some advice.?
Aaron:
If you're having trouble with Title IV loans, start with some free assistance from the Office of the Ombudsman at the US Department of Education.
Here's their mission:
';The Federal Student Aid Ombudsman of the Department of Education helps resolve disputes and solve other problems with federal student loans.';
You can find the office website here: http://www.ombudsman.ed.gov/ and you can read all of the details about how to take advantage of the Ombudsman's services here: http://www.ombudsman.ed.gov/about/about.鈥?/a>
Basically:
';The Ombudsman will research your problem and determine whether you have been treated fairly. If your student loan complaint is justified, we will work with you and the office, agency, or company involved in the problem. On your behalf, we will contact other offices within the U.S. Department of Education, your private lender, your loan guaranty agency, and the servicing agency or firm collecting your loan.';
I think that's the assistance that you're looking for - and I hope this helps you - good luck!applying eyeshadow

Need advice for Legal Photo company. Any attorneys out there?
Working on business plan for legal/insurance photography service. Looking for input from attorneys/adjusters. Would you use a photographer for accident/injury photos? How do you handle imaging needs for your firm? What should I address in starting such a service? Thanks.Need advice for Legal Photo company. Any attorneys out there?
Of course you have asked this question before
but in some areas a person who is doing investigation must be a licenced private dectective or working for one.
And most attorneys use private firms that are properly licenced

Are company's liable if they receive incorrect legal advice?
Many companies ask their legal counsel for advice on a particular practice. If the lawyer provides advice that the company follows, should the company be immune from legal liability resulting from this action?Are company's liable if they receive incorrect legal advice?
Well, no. If that was true the companies would NEVER be liable they would ALWAYS blame it on the lawyers.
Now, lawyers are human being too - they make mistakes, if the lawyer was competent and gave advice in good faith -- the lawyer should not be liable.
However there is a cause of action for malpractice -- if the lawyer gives a com[any bad advice, and the lawyer was no qualified to do so, or gave advice in bad faith -- the company can sue the lawyer for damages.Are company's liable if they receive incorrect legal advice?
Yes parties are liable for their actions even if on the advice of counsel. If they followed the advice of counsel and it was wrong then possibly they could get reimbursement from counsel's malpractice carrier. I've even had companies ask for the advice given to be changed, so no the company should not be immune from legal liability for the action that ultimately was theirs.
No, the company won't be immune, but they could sue the lawyer for malpractice.
They are responsible, they are still the ones committing the action.
nope...but you can go after the lawyer for damages if any result from the improper or incorrect advise.
Why? Is this any different than following poor advise from an engineer, accounting consultant?
The company may be able to sue counsel (I'm assuming out of company not inside legal dept) but the company is responsible for their actions.

I have just started a DNA testing company ! I need your advice!?
I just started a DNA testing company. I have alot of hit on my page but not a lot of customers. Can you tell me why? www.discountdna.net Please look at the page I am not looking for customers just advice! Much appreciated. I want this to ultimately be a community project where I am helping people instead of a business!I have just started a DNA testing company ! I need your advice!?
I haven't look at your site but the website name discountdna would stop me from even looking at the page. I know you are trying to make a point about the price but frankly, discount and dna don't really seem to belong in the same sentence.I have just started a DNA testing company ! I need your advice!?
Questions to ask yourself, Who are your target customers? What is the need for DNA testing by the general public? You might try contacting attorney's who may need them for paternaty testing? My guess as to the hits is that people are curious about what you are offering and are not really in the need of DNA testing, which is a very specific test.
Well you need to do some SEO on the page, and then you need to target the rigth sort of terms, i.e. converting terms, so that the users you get to the site are there for purchase.
I am a mom working from home and I have built a website with the help of SBI. Their program/package includes EVERYTYHING you would need to build a SUCCESSFUL, PROFITABLE, website! I was real skeptical at first, but now I am hooked!

This is only a way to generate more people looking at your web page. You need to advertise your business some place else. I think this is also a violation of the site to do this. You might fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool us all.
