Advice on how to return expensive item to company that won't respond to me?

I have this thing I bought for 60 dollars online and got it through the mail. It is called My Snoring Solution. It completely does not work on me. They say that they will refund your money if you return it with the packaging slip. But I distinctly remember there being no packaging slip in the envelope. I have tried to contact them twice but they have not emailed me back. There is no phone number for this company whatsoever. I checked my package and the website- nothing. They don't even have an email address- all they have is one of those fill-in- the-box-with-your-message pages. The day I got it, I emailed them saying it did not work and I wanted to return it. they have not emailed me back. I am not sure if they are even reading their emails. I got this thing because I have sleep apnea and I hoped it would hold my chin out so as to unblock the airways, as this is the express function of the sling. Instead, it presses my chin backwards, into my neck, making my breathing worse than before. I am not sure who to call. Also, I have checked my email and for some reason, I cannot find evidence of my online purchase. I searched and searched. Help!Advice on how to return expensive item to company that won't respond to me?
Go here: http://www.whois.net/ and type in the name of the website to find out who owns it. You might get lucky and see all the information you need about them including a contact number.

I hope this helps!

You have just learned a very valuable lesson... NEVER buy medical devices on-line, from some company you can not deal with in person. If you can't call them on the phone before you buy... if you can't walk in the door and speak to them in person... do NOT spend a dime with them.

Advice on Interview with former customer?? Personal Good(?)- Company Bad!?

I asked this at the wrong time of day yesterday...can anyone help today?

The man is going on a 2nd interview next week. Whoopie!! The thing is, one of the men he's interviewing with USED to work for one of the man's customers. It's possible that the interviewer does not have a very good vision of the man's soon-to-be-former employer. However, he would call the man when he needed to get things done. The man cannot remember a time he wasn't able to help the interviewer -but is concerned about the possible negative light of the company he's almost out of. Anyone have any ideas/advice on how to handle this potentially tricky situation? Anyone face anything similar? Give me your best shot.Advice on Interview with former customer?? Personal Good(?)- Company Bad!?
I think that the interviewer should have a good impression of the ';man';. He does need to watch and not bad mouth the company where he works. It is touchy since the interviewer may start the conversation. He needs to be very professional since it may leave a bad impression on the interviewer. But the company should not affect the ';Man'; as long as he is professional about it. Other than that, it looks good. 2nd interview, favorable position with one of the interview.Advice on Interview with former customer?? Personal Good(?)- Company Bad!?
Honesty (ethics) will handle the situation. I can see why not many will answer this question - it is poorly written. However, if I understand your question it boils down to honesty. You are NOT trying to promote a company that is bad and the customer will appreciate the honesty. Conversely, where the ';bad'; company can help must also be emphasized. In this manner the principles of ethics will win out in the long run and doing what is right will prevail. The customer will appreciate that and may be a customer again when it counts.

I left a large company and took 98% of my business with me. In a company survey to those clients the number one reason was the ethical conduct of me as a salesman. The reason they did business with me was honesty. The company thing really didn't matter.

Good luck in your quest.

A cell phone company is about to sue me!!! Legal advice needed!?

I live in Russia but back in June I traveled to the US and I used my phone there and at the time I was exceedingly surprised to see that it actually worked in the States, it appeared that my provider there was AT%26amp;T instead of Megafon - one of the major cell phone providers in Russia whose services I used. Not knowing what was the matter I assumed that Megafon was a subsidiary of AT%26amp;T or something... Anyway, after a while I could no longer use the phone because the signal disappeared and remembering that the phone showed that my provider was AT%26amp;T, I called them to inquire as to why my phone ceased to have a signal... I explained everything to them and they told me a most peculiar thing, they told me that Megafon is NOT their subsidiary and they don't even have towers in the US and that it looks like their signal was going off the AT%26amp;T towers for a while and then stopped... Well, It was a good enough explanation to me.

When I got back to Russia my phone still didn't work, I found out that I owe the Russian company about $500 for using their services in the US. I refused to pay, 'cause I reason since they have no towers in the US they can't charge you for using the services of some other company ('cause it looks like while I was in the US, I used the AT%26amp;T services, 'cause the signal was going off the AT%26amp;T towers), and if I have to pay, shouldn't I pay AT%26amp;T? Why do I have to pay Megafon? Now Megafon threatens to sue me if I don't pay them the above amount. I don't think it's fair. Any idea what I can do?A cell phone company is about to sue me!!! You can pay your bill. Next time, read the contract.A cell phone company is about to sue me!!! Legal advice needed!?
What happened was you had roaming charges added, although you were off another providers towers you still get dinged for it.
Tell them to take you to court,if you believe you are right, this fault is none of your doing and seems to be a technical sort of bleed over.Your arguments are perfectly valid, pay them not a cent. However, they have the whip hand by cutting your service completely, you should look elsewhere for a provider now.The thing that they are really being honest about is the you were actually on their service without first notifying them of your trip, this is just a measure of innefficiency on their part,in this respect they are right and you should pay them ,as they did provide the service and you did use it.
It's called roaming, and it involves companies having agreements to use each other's towers and switching services. You pay your own provider, they share that with the local provider (AT%26amp;T).

Your phone agreement probably makes mention of this when travelling internationally, although it may not be specific of how much it costs. For a situation like this, $500 is not that outrageous, I know people who have incurred $3000 fees for overseas travel.

Yes, you owe them the money.

  • Just started a company and I am clueless pls gimme advice?

we are 4 partners. Joe, Sam, my husband and me.

Bank account was opened in Joe and Sams names

    We have no contract

Joe and Sam registered the Pty Ltd

been going for 4 months now, my husband and I have been bringing in all the business and they have done nothing.

As a salary - we have been taking 50 % of the profit each month so there is still a bit of money in the bank

Now we wanna go on our own . How can we make sure we get 50 % of that money or more? We cant just walk out and let them take whats left . Cant afford a lawyer right now but I belong to legalwise - can they help?

Whats the first step? register a cc?

I am not blacklisted but I have been a bad payer with my accounts - will I be able to get a business cheque account?

Thanks for your adviceJust started a company and I am clueless pls gimme advice?
You belong to Legalwise so the 1st step will be to go and see an attorney at Legalwise. It is difficult to give you advise as I do not know who or what you are in the company, are you a shareholder , a director or an employee. Have you signed any papers at all, in whose name is the bank account and who has signing power on the cheques? No atorney will ever be able to give you any proper legal advise on Yahoo Answers because:

    1. You cannot give advise without seeing all the documents and papers and without having a proper consultation;

    2. It is too risky to give advise like this;

    3. It will cost any attorney time and money.

So if I were you i will phone Legalwise. Some Universities Law Faculties also give ';free'; legal advise.Just started a company and I am clueless pls gimme advice?
Since there's no contract between the 4 of you, and since the bank account in not in your names, i think it will be difficult for you to prove that you are entitled to any of the money in the bank account. Did Joe %26amp; Sam require any of your details in registering the Private Company? If not, sorry because the Registrar doesn't have any proof to connect you to the company.

In simple terms, they have been tacking you for a ride. There might be no other option but to seek legal assistance.
Why don't you post this in the ';business and finance'; category instead?
According to the Taxi Drivers Association and African culture the most tried and trusted method of resolving business disputes in South Africa is to shoot them.

Need advice opinion on choosing between two job offers... One company has horrible reputation and it's...?

not too far away from the truth. The second company has a stellar reputation, excellent benefits -- the typical sweet benefits package. Both jobs it turns out are essentially the same - glorified receptionist/ office/property mgr jobs. The base salary for job A is lower than I'm used to, but includes the possibility to make a bonus and an apartment. Now I'm hearing horror stories about their apts and mgmt. I work there and I've seen some disorganization but no horr still $$$ maybe very high. Yet if we haven't even gotten started and I'm being slightly stiffed then who's to say where this whole thing is going? In initial discussions the job was to include higher pay, commission %26amp; an apt... now it's low w/ a capped bonus + maybe an apt depending on availability. Overall in terms of money, the offers potentially excellent but I was led to believe this job was a entry level sales position and it's just a glorified asst/receptionist/ mgr gig. That's two slight deceptions, isn't it?Need advice opinion on choosing between two job offers... One company has horrible reputation and it's...?
So while you still have this job, start searching for the right one. There are plenty of opportunities out there, and with reputable firms. But get all offers in writing. If they won't commit to their promises, keep searching. Life is too short to work for cheating employers.

Company holiday party woes..I need some advice on this!?

We're having a holiday party at work and since I've only been there a few months, I'm obligated to go. I didn't want to at first because I don't have a boyfriend at the moment and everybody is going to be bringing their spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends, etc. So I figured I'd just go and bring my best friend with me. My friends know who she is and are excited to meet her, but I don't want to give off a lesbian vibe to people. I managed to do that once before when I brought my other best friend with me to my grandmother's 50th wedding anniversary. She invited my best friend so she came with and my aunt made insulting lesbian comments all night.

Now, my friends know who she is so I don't care, but I don't want other people to get the wrong impression. What do you all think of this?Company holiday party woes..I need some advice on this!?
smile, be brave, enjoy the party, but do be aware of how you carry yourself with your friend, it is easy to give off the wrong vibes (esp. as the answer above says - to the those who can be ignorant - it's your friends that really matter!). try %26amp; think of a casual answer to people if you hear of rumours, shrug it off with a laugh %26amp; joke. smiling, being aware, but not too afraid can help, my friend is a lesbian, but is quite convincing as straight, just to keep the rumours at bay.

hope you do eventually enjoy the party!Company holiday party woes..I need some advice on this!?
I would bet my paycheck your work people are more mature than your close-minded aunt.
I think wrong impressions are a fact of life that you will never avoid. I know I find it more efficient to find ways to live with that simple fact than to alter my quality of life in an attempt to to do the impossible of never giving anyone a wrong impression. Personally, I work at correcting wrong impressions when - and if - the opportunity arises and letting the actions of others reflect on them more than me at all times. Who am I to say what others should think? Why would I let those thoughts of others rule my life?

Were the rude and ignorant comments of a 70+ year old woman so horrible that you and your friend were blinded to everyone else who was at the party? Take what you like and leave the rest.
No matter what you do some people are immature and need to grow up. They have nothing better to do then to assume a relationship with two people.

You know what is or isn't going on between you and your friend. It's no one else business.

Do to your aunt like I did to my uncle, next time you see her with a female friend make the same remarks to her. And she will definitely speak up to you. Then tell her and remind her what she did to you at the family party. My uncle realize and apology to me for he did and called my friend and apology to him also. Now he's really careful with his remarks because you don't always know what the relationship is between two people. And it's none of your business what is going on between two people. And people need to grow up and think before they speak.
